Mainland Education Award Scheme for Children of Civil Servants
The “Mainland Education Award Scheme for Children of Civil Servants” is set up to dovetail with the Government’s policy of integrating into the overall national development and encourage more children of civil servants to study in the Mainland.
The Scheme is applicable to civil servants who are appointed on new terms on or after 1 June 2000. They may apply on behalf of their eligible children who –
- must be unmarried and dependent children aged 19 or below in the preceding school year;
- have completed a whole school year of full-time primary or secondary education in the Mainland in that school year; and
- have performed well during their studies in the Mainland and obtained recommendation from the principal of the school they attended.
Advice on how to apply for the Scheme and application form can be obtained from the Departmental Secretary of their parent bureaux/departments.
