Building a People-oriented Service Culture
Holistic Training Approach
The College infuses the people-oriented service ethos into all civil service training programmes from induction, management, leadership to functional and skills-based training at all levels. In tandem, it provides dedicated training programmes for building a service culture, covering public service ethos and its application, service skills, team collaboration, and more. Through interactive modes of training such as case studies, experience sharing, discussions, experiential learning and e-learning, the College endeavours to inculcate in civil servants a commitment to serve and a sense of mission.
Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme
The College also strives to foster the people-oriented and “One Government” service culture through organising the “Civil Service Outstanding Service Award Scheme” to recognise achievements of departments and teams in providing quality service; and running the “Serve with Excellence Seminars” to promote the good practices featured in the award-winning projects. Good stories of deserving entries are incorporated into training materials and experience sharing sessions are organised to promote the good practices for the benefit of all civil servants.
