Clerical and Secretarial Grades
The Clerical and Secretarial Grades perform a wide range of general support duties and provide frontline services to the public. With a size of about 27 900 members, these grades are centrally managed by the General Grades Office for cost-effective reasons and for the purpose of providing effective and efficient support services to policy bureaux and departments. Members of these grades are subject to postings to any bureaux and departments. Over the years, through the provision of enhanced computer skills training and facilities, the Clerical and Secretarial Grades have evolved into a multi-skilled general support workforce to meet present day service needs.
